On the eve of Holocaust Day (April 11), Congregation Hod veHadar will hold a commemoration in which we will be showing a documentary film program produced by Channel 2 on the New Anti-Semitism in our contemporary age, to be followed by a discussion with the audience, moderated by Prof. Sam Lehman-Wilzig (former Chairman of Bar-Ilan University’s Dept. of Political Science, and also the School of Communication). The film presents a penetrating and scorching look at an entire “hidden world” (mostly on Social Networks and the Internet), with Holocaust Denial “starring” as the main theme for the new anti-semites.
The documentary program is presented in Hebrew (with Yaacov Eilon), with most of the interviewees (academic and social analysts, as well as rabid anti-semites) speaking in English (with accompanying Hebrew subtitles). The post-film discussion will be conducted in Hebrew; audience members can comment or ask questions in English. (Exact time TBA)
