Engaging and Educational Children’s Services

Children’s Services at Hod veHadar take place on Shabbat mornings every other week after the Torah reading service. Each meeting includes a mix of prayers from the Shacharit Service, a discussion of the weekly parasha and role plays, as well as games focused on key values from the parasha. We include costumes and props to add to the fun. Our goal is to engage the children in the discussion and activities that will help them understand important themes and values from the Torah, in addition to thinking about how they can apply them in their daily lives at home and with friends. Parents and grandparents are invited to participate!
